Let your soul dangle together

The mountain, the lake, the Swiss stone pine forest, the peace and quiet, somehow everything has slowed down here.

There doesn't always have to be a program, no fixed times, no planned activities. You can just live the day and something will happen. Because nature has everything we need, and if we're bored enough, the children always have the best ideas!

Family time with enough space

Small young family, single with child, parents with teenagers, perhaps friends or girlfriends are already with you, we have the right rooms and suites. With infrared sauna in the room, of course with lake view and pine scent.

Intergenerational vacations are becoming increasingly popular, grandma and grandpa take the grandchildren off their hands and everyone has a wonderful time

Recharge your batteries

At 1800 meters you are in a different world. In the Swiss stone pine forest, you breathe a different air. At the lake, you can feel a very special energy. And somehow time stands still.

There is a very special place of power in the forest behind the hotel. Right next to the hotel's own spring, surrounded by lichen-covered rocks and mossy ground, we have created a place where you can simply feel everything a little more intensely.

Exploring the Nockberge mountains together

Horses, cows, sometimes swampy, many lakes, gentle and rounded, steep and rocky, and always surrounded by Swiss stone pines. These are the Nockberge mountains. We love them.

At times the alpine rose blooms and bathes the mountains in pink, then the arnica comes and everything is yellow, and you often have to be careful not to accidentally step on the many berries while looking into the distance.

Simply enjoy the alpine pasture

The sun is shining, it's pleasantly warm, we've hiked comfortably all morning and then our stomachs start to growl.

When we arrive at our mountain hut, some are craving a snack, others a Glundener cheese, some a beer, and the little ones have been looking forward to a curd cheese strudel with vanilla sauce or a yeast dumpling ever since we left. The mountain summer is glorious!

Returning to the past

Our mountain farm on the Carinthian side is only a two-hour walk downhill and we hike down every Thursday. The absolute highlight of the week.

At the bottom, cool drinks are waiting in the fountain, a hearty snack or soup, and the afternoon takes its course while your feet recover from the hike and all the impressions slowly seep into your consciousness.

Serenity and joie de vivre

Sitting comfortably together by the lake, because we are the hotel with the most hours of sunshine on the Turracher Höhe right by the lake.

The children do their thing while mom and dad do their thing in pairs or with a fun group. Nevertheless, they never lose sight of each other, everyone knows who is where, no worries, no phone calls, nothing to organize.

Bike park, uphill, forest trails, it's all there

Take the chairlift up and a range of different trails await. Flow trail, single trail, alpine pump track, kids aged 6 and up have fun, and the shredders double the hits and whip the kickers.

With an enduro bike, of course, everything is open, whether on the uphill trail up to the bike park or along the signposted continuation trails, which are also a dream for e-bikes.

A day on the Huabn
First of all: every Thursday we hike to the Huabn, our centuries-old, nostalgic mountain farm! After the leisurely hike, a hearty snack awaits growling stomachs and there are cool bottles in the fountain!

Hiking with meditation
Enjoy a unique alternation of tension and relaxation through the combination of walking and meditation, a wonderful opportunity to reward your body and mind in the long term.

All-day hike
This hike introduces you to the idyllic landscape of the Turracher Höhe. It leads via the Schwarzsee lake into the unspoilt Weitental valley. From there it goes over the Engeleriegel to the Schoberriegel and back to the hotel.

Legendary family hike
A short hike for the whole family! Experience legendary adventures through the best shortcuts along part of the 3 Lakes Trail. There is so much to discover and explore.

Barefoot hike
The weather is almost irrelevant on this hike. Young and old learn to feel nature, hike barefoot across the raised bog and the lush green meadows and then enjoy a little lakeside picnic.

Herb hike
Knowledge about the healing properties of wild herbs is a valuable asset of the local population and must not be lost. The practical highlight of this hike is the production of a "pitch ointment" directly from nature.

Discover the fascinating world of minerals, crystals and gemstones on a guided tour of the Kranzlbinder family's "mythos edelstein" crystal museum and experience the power of unique natural treasures.

The bow and arrow is one of the most fascinating sports today. Archery is fun, promotes awareness and boosts self-confidence.

Sunrise hike
Experience the sunrise in the picturesque landscape, accompanied by our experienced alpine butler. Enjoy an early morning mini-breakfast and experience the breathtaking view of the mountains.

Mining hike
Towards the Kornock summit, past the "Drei-Seen-Blick", you and your children hike via the Karmulde, the historic miners' house and the former Zinnoberstollen tunnel down to the valley station of the Panoramabahn, where the hike ends.

Morning hike
The morning hike takes around 1.5 hours to the Kornock, where you can enjoy a small Almbutler breakfast. For those who would like to hike even further, the hike to the summit of the Rinsennock (2,334 m) will leave you refreshed.

Stone pine hike
Survival artist and character tree of the Nockberge mountains in the largest contiguous Swiss stone pine forest in the Alps. Gain old and new knowledge about this special tree species with a biosphere park ranger.

Hike to the mining museum "Holz & Eisen", where you can gain interesting insights into the history of mining and woodworking. Enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains and learn more about traditional mining.

Guided e-bike tour with guide Max through the Nockberge mountains, also suitable for less experienced cyclists!

With us, no child thinks about cell phones

In front of the hotel is the lakeshore, behind the hotel is the forest. The children don't even think about getting their phones out, except perhaps to take photos of the highlights of the day, because there are plenty of them, and all free of charge!

The children are not left with us, because we have made our entire setup up here family-friendly so that the children can do their thing without having to be looked after or entertained. Of course, there is childcare in the afternoons during the vacation periods so that mom and dad can chill out in the spa or just enjoy some time together.
