We at the Turracher Höhe have the reputation that our 40 kilometers of slopes are in perfect condition from the beginning of December to the end of April.

The Adriatic lows in pre-winter reliably provide us with snow, while it is still raining in lower regions. The lake has enough water so that the snow cannons are constantly making snow, simply to guarantee the base so that every centimeter of snow can be groomed immediately and forms a bombproof base until spring. 

Snowpark

Easy line with 3 kickers and 3 boxes, medium line with 3 kickers, pro line with a big mama and corner/spine combo afterwards, then a jum jib park with rainbow rail, kinked rails, lots of boxes, corners, kickers, step ups, bowl, and a few more things that the shapers set up depending on their mood.

Our park has the best reputation in Carinthia, mainly because it offers something for every level. The Carinthia Shred Tour has 3 contests a year, and the Shred School is also constantly on the mountain, all free of charge.

Slopes for all levels

Whether blue, red or black pistes, ski routes, fun slopes or snow parks, the Turracher Höhe has it all.

Skiing here at 1800 meters is possible from the beginning of December to the end of April, because we don't have to worry about snow.Where the mountain station is in many other ski resorts, that's where it starts here. It rains down below while it snows here, and that is one of the main reasons why our guests can book their winter vacation with complete peace of mind.

Gentle Winter

Winter hiking with or without snowshoes is becoming increasingly popular with young and old.

The focus is on slowing down, finding yourself, soaking up the peace and quiet and nature, feeling the forest and simply doing your own thing, far away from the hustle and bustle on the ski slopes.

Snowshoes and spikes for the soles can be hired from us free of charge!

Infinite cross country skiing

The Turracher Höhe is known for its extensive network of cross-country ski trails for all levels.

Everyone can do their laps on the lake, whether classic or skating, the trail is prepared as soon as the lake is open, which is usually the case at Christmas. The more physically fit skiers are happy about the trails further up on the plateaus, whether on the Hochmoor or over to the Grünsee, the trail is fresh.

Family time with enough space

Small young family, single with child, parents with teenagers, perhaps friends or girlfriends are already with you, we have the right rooms and suites. With infrared sauna in the room, of course with lake view and pine scent.

Intergenerational vacations are becoming increasingly popular, grandma and grandpa take the grandchildren off their hands and everyone has a wonderful time 

Ski lessons and rentals

Guests of our hotel have absolute priority when booking ski and snowboard lessons, and rent their equipment at special rates.

So why buy all that ski equipment for expensive money and pack your car full of it when you can do it cheaply and comfortably here on site.

Nocky Flitzer

The summer toboggan run is also open in winter, so even those who are not skiers or snowboarders can enjoy an adrenaline rush.

You can reach the top station comfortably by gondola, at the top there is a hut with a hearty snack, and down you go with the Nocky Flitzer, one of the attractions here on the mountain.

For the little ones

The little ones are not only well looked after in the ski school when the sun is shining and the weather is glorious, even when it's cold they have a Kids Club where the ski instructors have plenty of programs and tea in store. So parents can go skiing themselves with a clear conscience.

Childcare is also available at the hotel in the afternoon during the vacation periods, so mom and dad can enjoy the spa and our hotel just as much as the little ones.

Or simply do nothing

Totally ok.And very popular. Just do nothing.

The lake on the doorstep, frozen in the depths of winter, it's easy to think of something! Snowballs are quickly made, the ice rink for curling is ready, the ice rink too, shoes to borrow, everything is there. Somehow everything under the motto "Can do everything, don't have to do anything"!
