Me with my Alex, Alex with me - and the most important thing in our lives: Our 3 stars Cosma, Leander & Louan, who are always scurrying around the house, love the mountains just as much as we do and have already formed many friendships with dear guests.

We suspect that our own "family craziness" is one of the reasons why families feel so at home in our 4-star superior hotel on the Turrach - on the border between Styria and Carinthia. The uncomplicated nature of our hotel, the relaxed atmosphere, the proximity to the slopes on the doorstep, the summertime dip in the lake - almost from the window of your room. And that's not even mentioning the large indoor slide, the activity programmes for kids, the family rooms and much more.

Ski lessons and ski hire

Guests at our hotel have absolute priority when booking ski and snowboard lessons, and hire their equipment at special rates.

So why buy all that expensive ski equipment and pack your car full of it, when you can do it cheaply and conveniently here on site.

The summer toboggan run is also open in winter, so even those who are not skiers or snowboarders can enjoy an adrenaline rush.

You can reach the top station comfortably by cable car, there's a hut at the top with a hearty snack, and the Nocky Flitzer, one of the attractions here at Berg'smannskost, takes you downhill

For very little ones

The little ones are not only well looked after in the ski school when the sun is shining and the weather is glorious, even when it's cold they have a Kids Club where the ski instructors have plenty of programmes and tea in store. This means that parents can go skiing themselves with a clear conscience.

Childcare is also available at the hotel in the afternoons during the holiday periods, so mum and dad can enjoy the spa and our hotel just as much as the little ones.

Snowpark

Easy line with 3 kickers and 3 boxes, medium line with 3 kickers, pro line with a big mum and corner/spine combo afterwards, then a jum jib park with rainbow rail, kinked rails, lots of boxes, corners, kickers, step ups, bowl, and a few more things that the shapers set up depending on their mood.

Our park has the best reputation in Carinthia, mainly because it offers something for every level. The Carinthia Shred Tour has 3 contests a year, and the Shred School is also constantly on the mountain, all free of charge.

Slopes for every level

Whether blue, red or black pistes, ski routes, fun slopes or snow parks, the Turracher Höhe has it all.

Skiing here at 1800 metres is possible from the beginning of December to the end of April, because we don't have to worry about snow. Where the mountain station is in many other ski resorts, that's where it starts here. It rains down below while it snows here, and that is one of the main reasons why our guests can book their winter holiday with complete peace of mind.

Ski tours

Go shredding in peace and quiet. Gentle backs, steep flanks. What more could a shredder's heart desire! From ski touring beginners to experienced ski tourers, there is something for everyone.

Ski tourers get their money's worth on the Turracher Höhe. Guaranteed snow thanks to the high starting point guarantees deep snow fun right into spring, and the gentle peaks of the Nockberge mountains with moderate ascents and enjoyable descents are a paradise for passionate mountaineers.

Gentle winter

Winter hiking with or without snowshoes is becoming increasingly popular with young and old.

The focus is on slowing down, finding yourself, soaking up the peace and quiet and nature, feeling the forest and simply doing your own thing, far away from the hustle and bustle on the ski slopes.

Cross-country skiing without end

The Turracher Höhe is known for its extensive network of cross-country ski trails for all levels.

Everyone can do their laps on the lake, whether classic or skating, the trail is prepared as soon as the lake is open, which is usually the case at Christmas. The more fit skiers will enjoy the trails further up on the plateaus, whether at Hochmoor or over to Grünsee, the trail is fresh.
